Initially children grasp pegs sideways so the large knobs allow for easy grasping.   Later they are able to manage smaller pegs. We also make raised piece puzzles where the pieces stand above the base board for easy removal.

The weather and bear puzzles are duel inset puzzles, increasing the challenge as the child become more familiar with them.
